Hi! I’m Brandy Yi, owner of Brandy Yi Photography. I am a wife as well as a mother of five over-the-top, beautiful girls! My life is chaos every day, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. My husband and my five girls mean everything to me and they are the inspiration behind starting my business while also enjoying ample time to love and care for my family.

My photography journey began in 2015 after the birth of my youngest daughter. This passion started when I bought my first camera for the purpose of taking photos of my own family, and found myself longing for more photo documentation of my older children. I wished I had picked up a camera during their younger years to capture every possible moment we all shared.

Life passes by in the blink of an eye, but one photo can make time stand still.

After much practice and determination, I take pride in being a self-taught photographer. Once I began posting my photos on social media, my inbox was flooded with individuals and families inquiring about my services. I was ecstatic!!

In 2018 I decided to blend my two passions, horses and photography, and try my hand at equine photography. It was a huge leap but I am so glad I did it! I grew up riding horses. To say horses were my life would be an understatement. I purchased my first horse at the age of 13. She was a 9 month old Arabian mare. We literally grew up together. I had 24 good years with her before I lost her to colic. Now I regret never getting any photos of her and I together. I would give anything to have some. That has been a driving force for me in equine photography. I want to capture those memories for others before its to late. I want my clients to have photos of them with their horses to cherish forever. I want them to be able to look back and remember the bond, love, and good days they had. Life is to short to live with regret.

I never imagined my self-taught hobby would turn into both my passion and my career.

I consider myself a perfectionist and strive for nothing less as I work with families, children, and individuals as I help them to capture some of life’s most precious memories. Each of my clients are special to me and I love working with them year after year. Those bonds I build with each family make it easy for me to get real smiles, giggles, and happy moments during each of shoot we do! Watching families grow is an honor and I feel so blessed!
