My artistic style is very bright and colorful. I like to capture images as they are and assure that my images will stand the test of time. Most of my sessions are done outdoors chasing the natural light. To me there is nothing better than a beautiful location and the perfect lighting! 

Here is a little about me and why I think I am different.

I am a huge people person! I love meeting new people and getting to know them. I strive to build connections and bonds with each and every client I work with. I will go above and beyond to make a family relax and enjoy their time with me. As a mom of five I am no stranger to acting like a total nut to make your little ones smile and laugh! I love kids and can form a connection with them quickly which puts them at ease when working with me. After being with me for a few minutes they will soon know first hand how silly I am and how much fun we can have together.

Photography is a huge passion of mine! I love what I do so much I hate to even consider it a job. I really do feel that I have the best “job” in the world. Ever since I was little I have always been a creative person. Being able to express myself and that side of me through photography is a dream! I never give just 100%, I always give 110%. To me this isn’t just about taking pictures. It’s about creating lasting memories for you and your family for generations to come. 

As with anything I think experience and skill are extremely important. Practice makes perfect and trust me I get a lot of practice. I believe there is ALWAYS more to learn. We are never done learning. That is why I am constantly reading, watching tutorials, doing shoots and investing in myself and my business. I shoot with top of the line gear. I know my camera and how to make the proper adjustments for any lighting or setting we are in. 

With my unicorn sessions I am different because I have over 30 years of horse experience and knowledge which I think is essential when working with children and horses. I honestly feel working with a horse you need to be able have a basic sense of how to read them. You need to know their body language and how to tell if they are feeling anxious, nervous or upset. Especially if you are going to have young kids around them who also have no understanding of a horse. The horses I use for my sessions are horses I personally know, have ridden and have a bond with. I am not just a family photographer but an equine photographer as well and know just how to get those dreamy shots where the horse looks happy! 

From the moment you contact me about booking a session I start preparing for it. I work hard to make sure that the vision you have comes to life. Whether that be for a first birthday cake smash, a family photo, graduation photo, or a Christmas photo with Santa. A lot goes on behind the scenes to assure you get exactly what you want. Things like location scouting, and prop shopping are just a few. Every detail matters and I won’t relax until I know I have it all perfect! 

Lastly is that I am accepting of everyone. All ethnicities, religions, cultures, gender, sexual orientation are welcome with open arms! No judgment, period!
